I had never heard of of this sport until last night when we were watching PBS.
Noodling is the sport of catching huge flathead catfish with one’s bare hands.

I have had a couple pairs of Northern Cardinals around for years.
Their song is as gorgeous as their bright red color.
I find them to be rather timid, and they fly away at the slightest movement or sound.

Yesterday we arrived home to find a woodchuck smack in the middle of the backyard eating grass.
It didn’t seem too bothered by us, so we watched it awhile before it lazily went back beyond the trees to the neighbors yard.

They didn’t take long to find the feeder.
I put it out,and less than an hour later, there were three of them, two females, and one male, fighting over who was going to eat.

We all know the familiar looking turkey that is used for decorating around Thanksgiving time.
As a child, I never saw a turkey look like that.
