Backyard Bird Count
![]()
Each winter in the US, the Audubon Society conducts it’s annual Great Backyard Bird Count.
I was involved in this many years ago, long before computers and online made it an easy thing to do.
I had not given it too much thought these last years, but I ran across in article in the local newspaper, and it reminded me about it.
Checking it out online, I found the National Audubon Society page with a link to this activity.
So glad I didn’t miss it, it will be held the weekend of February 17-20.
The feeders and suet cage have been kept filled this past winter, but since it has been so mild, I think the birds are finding many natural things to eat.
I haven’t had to fill it as much as I have during previous winters.
I am so pleased to be involved once again with this bird count.
I really enjoy these little guys - check it out if your are interested in them too!
