We have been back to swimming in the lake for about two weeks now.
And the season so far has been grand for it.
Most evenings we have the entire swim area to ourselves, and it couldn’t be more serene.
No boats out during the weekdays to make any waves.
No splashing and screaming from other swimmers.

They didn’t take long to find the feeder.
I put it out,and less than an hour later, there were three of them, two females, and one male, fighting over who was going to eat.
And there were four stations - they could each happily eat at one.

For many years we have had our gardens in the raised beds that we put in about 20 years ago.
Each spring we add organic manure, new top soil, and some peat moss.
This year we are trying a whole new approach.
Our raised beds have produced okay, but I think they are getting a bit tired from [...]
