Lets Jump Together

It is inevitable.
When you have children it comes with the understanding that they will leave.
We have been lucky - our daughter got married, had our grandson, and moved about 35 miles away.

I really could not believe what I was seeing.
I had never seen them here this early before.
The swamp that they usually stand in beside the highway still had ice on it and the snow was still all around the edges too.
There were just a couple of open spots of water.
But that Great Blue Heron was [...]

We never thought it would arrive, but the melting has begun in our corner of the world.
Still buried under at least three feet of ice pack, but the last couple of days have been in the high thirties.
And Tuesday they are saying we should reach into the 40 degree territory.
Bring it on, I say!
