Afternoon Motorcycle Ride
We don’t get to ride too often these days, but today was a day that we did.
And how grand it was!
For years before we had a family, we went everywhere on our motorcycle - even climbed Mount Washington when it was still dirt.
Once the children started arriving, I wouldn’t take the risk of having something happen to both of us on a bike.
My youngest will be starting college next week, so slowly we are easing back into being on a bike together again.
The bike we used to have was a Honda Goldwing, and it gave a dream of a ride.
The bike we have now is a Harley Davidson, but it is really designed for just one rider, and perhaps an occasional passenger on a short trip.
Hopefully over the next year or so we will be able to get one that will be perfect for the both of us.
But for now, I will enjoy the sights, sounds, smells, and feel of being on a motorcycle again.
It gives one a different view of driving and traveling on the road, and the freedom of it is addictive.
