The Beauty of Pollen
There are no two identical types of pollen on this planet - unless of course it comes from the same species of plant.
It has to be this way - grass pollen must polinate only grass, not flowers or trees.
The varieties of colors, shapes, and textures are vast - each adapted to it’s plant’s particular pollinators.
We don’t see these colors and shapes because the whole grain is covered with a protective yellow coating. That’s what we are familiar with.
The history of civilization is tracked by pollen which can be found in layers in the sediment in the bottom of ponds.
Thousands of years are tracked in these layers, and we are making history now as we fly around the planet and distribute pollen from continent to continent.
