The Park
A good spot to spend an afternoon in the summer is the local park.
There are always families there - some with children, some with babies in strollers, and others with dogs secured with leashes.
You will also find people reading or jogging or feeding the ducks that make the pond their summer home.
This little park is also busy during these cold winter months.
The town keeps the frozen pond cleared of snow after each storm, and they spread a fresh layer of water on it each evening to give the ice a slick finish.
Last summer this whole park was in disarray as the town made renovations and changed a lot around.
It is all covered with snow and high piles of plowed snow, and I am quite anxious to see what it looks like this year.
From what I can see, this beautiful expanse of green will no longer be there - a parking lot has taken it’s place.
This park has been here since the late 1800’s and I am sure it has seen many changes.
Hope these ones are for the better also!
