A New Job

Although she was very excited about the new job, it took all of a millisecond for my daughter to realize she didn’t have the required clothes that were needed for her position.
She turned to me in despair, and when I mentioned I had some tops and pants from my office days still hanging in my closet, I expected the rolled eyes, and the “no way” words to come my way.
I must say she graciously accepted what I had to offer and I was pleasantly surprised that she did.
Not even a year ago would she even consider wearing anything that resembled “old ladies” or “stuffy office clothes”, as she called them, so I was pleased at her maturity.
My son called it desperation on her part, but what ever it was, I was glad to see it.
I told her as a celebration for her job, I would buy her a new outfit, the only requirement was that it had to be reasonably priced.
She went on line to look for Discount Clothing and once again my daughter pleased me with her choices.
But I think what pleased me most of all was her ability to find a bargain - she said she was looking for cheap clothing, but what she found were some great deals on some quality tops and pants.
She mentioned that she wished she had found some of these deals when she was back in school, and I nodded in agreement.
My girl, she takes after her Mom, and I couldn’t be more proud!

Best wishes to your daughter with her new job! And congrats!
It’s good that she’ll have some clothes to wear, too.
